VEX
Our school proudly hosts and organizes VEX Robotics competitions, providing an invaluable STEM opportunity for students in our community. While we do not participate as competitors, our students and staff manage the event, bringing the excitement and accessibility of robotics to neighboring elementary and middle schools. This local hosting allows younger students to experience and engage with robotics in a real-world competitive setting, and we’re thrilled to welcome 38 elementary and middle school teams to participate. Hosting these events helps foster early interest in STEM right in our own community.

Hydrogen RC Cars
The hydrogen RC car competition challenges students to design, build, and race remote-controlled cars powered by hydrogen fuel cells, combining engineering skills with sustainable energy principles. Our school has excelled in this competition, advancing to the World level for the past two years. We proudly sent an all-girls team, who earned the Girls in STEM award—a testament to their innovation, teamwork, and technical skill. This competition allows our students to showcase their engineering talents on a global stage, reflecting the high caliber of our Engineering Design Pathway.

Aerial Drone Competition
The aerial drone competition challenges students to design, build, and pilot drones to complete complex tasks, testing their engineering, coding, and problem-solving abilities. In the 2023-2024 competition, our students demonstrated outstanding skill and collaboration, earning 2nd place in the Skills Award. They also brought home the top honor, the Teamwork Champion award, highlighting their ability to work together effectively under pressure. This accomplishment showcases the strength of our Engineering Design Pathway and the remarkable talents of our students.
